Metin2 Configurator has been updated with a brand-new security and user experience philosophy.
Here’s what’s waiting for you in version v5.8.2:
🔐 1. Enhanced Authentication
✔ Every user is now assigned a unique client_id and session_token.
✔ The same client_id can only be used from one IP at a time.
✔ Login attempts from another device are blocked and the user is warned.
✔ The settings.ini file is monitored — manipulation attempts are detected.
🖥️ 2. Administrator Privilege Checks
✔ If admin rights are required to save resolution settings, the user is clearly informed.
✔ If not run as administrator, appropriate warning messages guide the user.
📄 3. Advanced Update Mechanism
✔ On startup, the application fetches the latest version info from the server.
✔ If a newer version is available, the user is notified and directed accordingly.
✔ During update checks, user information is also verified.

Yes. The app is signed with its own certificate and this certificate is automatically installed during installation.
Someantivirus programs query self-signed certificates. As long as you download it from the official site, it is safe.
When the applicationis opened, it connects to the server and checks the current version. If there is a new version, it notifies you.
A unique ID(client_id) is created for eachcomputer. To use it on another computer, you must register a new one.
